A Black Englishman

A Black Englishman

Isabel Herbert, traumatized by the death of her lover in World War I, escapes England by making a hasty marriage and traveling to India with her husband, an army officer. There she immediately falls in love with a wealthy Indian doctor who was educated at Oxford. Their affair, however, is fraught with difficulty that soon escalates to horror. The story is based on events in the life of the author's grandmother. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. All rights reserved.
