When Rachel (Helen Lesnick), a die-hard lesbian New Yorker, moves to San Diego in search of a new life and a new love, she is shocked to see just how much her parents have gotten accustomed to the West Coast lifestyle. She is even more surprised to find that her mom, of all people, is playing matchmaker in hopes of finding her a date. Overwhelmed at first, Rachel isn't too comfortable with her mother's idea. Little by little, however, she warms up to it and is introduced to Christine (Erica Shaffer). In no time, Rachel and Christine fall madly in love and begin to plan their wedding. Suddenly when everything is going as planned, Rachel's ex-girlfriend Reggie (Michele Green) returns for one last crack at her old flame's heart.
