The Crippled Angel

THE CRIPPLED ANGEL wraps up the Crucible trilogy, an alternate-history fantasy series that offers an unearthly explanation for Europe`s transition in the 14th century from a deeply spiritual to a strongly secular society. Ex-priest (now courtier) Thomas Neville aided his friend Hal Bolingbroke to become King Henry IV of England. Unfortunately, Neville`s political loyalties conflict with his more sacred, secret responsibility: he has been designated by the Archangel Michael as the person who must discover the demons who have escaped from Hell and now cloak themselves in human flesh.
