The Portrait of Mrs. Charbuque

The Portrait of Mrs. Charbuque

At the tail end of the 19th century, the invention of photography is putting a crimp in the career of Piambo, a portrait painter. Partly because he needs the work and partly because he is interested in the challenge, he accepts a bizarre commission to paint one Mrs. Charbuque. The commission stipulates that he is not allowed to see her, but that he must create the portrait based upon her answers to any questions he poses. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005.
