Two twenty-somethings in the early 1980s snivel, grovel, and steal their way through their crumbling, decadent, abuse-plagued lives on New York`s Upper West Side. Warren, the sycophant of the pair, depends on his friend Dennis`s social cachet and cocksureness to feel better about himself, even though the relationship is nearly constant degradation for Warren. Even scoring $15,000 in a theft and bedding the woman of his dreams can`t save Warren from himself, and Dennis continues to take advantage of him and run his own life into the ground through botched drug deals and other excesses. This play premiered in New York in 1996 and was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for best new play. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. All rights reserved.
